Grandvalira, ski resort in Andorra

Grandvalira is located in the north of Andorra and is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees with seven ski and snowboard schools, and 450 qualified ski instructors to help you make the most of your skiing holiday at this resort. Learn to ski and try new winter sports such as freestyle skiing, snowboarding, or take a ride down some of the more challenging pistes…...this resort will suit any skier.

The highest piste in Grandvalira is 2,640m and the lowest piste is 1,710m. It also has a range of pistes with 25 black runs, 46 red runs, 51 blue runs and 51 green runs. This makes a total of 101 miles of pistes for you to discover and explore either on skies or a snowboard.

Soldeu is one of the most popular ski resorts in Grandvalira and it is sometimes referred to as the ski capital of Andorra. This resort is linked with Pas de la Casa, which formerly the largest ski area in Andorra. Together, the resorts have 115 miles of pistes and reach an altitude of 2,640m. The area is also renowned for its apres-ski activity as it is home to some of the most elegant hotels and spas in the ski area, not to mention lots of bars, restaurants, clubs and duty-free shops. Pas de la Casa is also linked with Grau Roig via ski lift and it has around 60 miles of ski runs.

El Tarter is another ski resort which covers 115 miles and reaches 1,800m of altitude. This resort is quieter than Soldeu-Pas de la Casa, but it does have a number of bars and restaurants to keep you entertained. All the ski resorts are interlinked with other villages in the Grandvalira area, such as Encamp and Canillo. The Grandvalira Lift Pass will enable you to ski or snowboard in any of the aforementioned ski resorts in the area.

Grandvalira is a great ski location where you can cross-country ski or try snowshoeing circuits, dog and reindeer sledding, igloo building or go on a resort tour. Where will you find time to try it all?
