Located in south-east France is Les Arcs; a purpose-built ski resort approximately 93 miles from Geneva in Switzerland. Its high slopes and exhilarating long descents are just some of the features which together make it one of the most exciting skiing areas in the Alps. It comprises of four resorts: Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000, which range from 810m to 3225m high. Les Arcs along with La Plagne form Paradiski, the third largest ski area in the world.

Arc 1600

The first resort to be built in Les Arcs was Arc 1600, which is the lowest and is linked with Bourg-Saint-Maurice, a town in the Paradiski ski area, by cable car. This ski resort has shops and hotels, but it is not the best option if you want to compliment your holiday with apres-ski such as bars and nightlife.

Arc 1800

Arc 1800 is the largest of the four resorts and it comprises of four villages: Charvet, Villards, Charmettoger and Chantel. With lots of nightlife on offer in resort hotels, bars and clubs, not to mention nearly 100 shops, shuttle services and lots of restaurants....Arc 1800 is one of the most popular skiing destinations in the Paradiski area.

Arc 1950

Arc 1950 is the most unique resort in Les Arc with lots of typically French buildings and classical architecture which can be compared with the concrete tower blocks in other Les Arcs resorts. This area is linked to Arc 2000 and has a great choice of international restaurants.

Arc 2000

The highest resort is Arc 2000 and it is well linked to other areas by cable car. This part is used as the venue for speed skiing.

Les Arcs resort is 71 miles from Chambery Airport, otherwise known as the gateway to the French Alps. Alternatively, you can fly into Geneva International Airport which is around three hours from Les Arcs by car.
